How to prepare for your laboratory appointment:

Fasting. If you have been asked to fast (abstain from eating), then don't eat or drink anything other than water 8 hours before your blood collection. Check with your doctor about requirements. Fasting is often required for testing glucose levels and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, and HDL).

Medications. Continue taking all medication as prescribed unless otherwise requested by your doctor.

Available time. Some tests, such as glucose tolerance, may take several hours to perform.

Then when you finally get your test done and the main facility doesn't have your results when you call. To reach someone to talk to takes more than an hour. My Doctors office called to get my results after two weeks and they still didnt have them. Next time I'm going to Quest Diagnostics. LabCorp is horrible!!!'
