How to prepare for your laboratory appointment:

Fasting. If you have been asked to fast (abstain from eating), then don't eat or drink anything other than water 8 hours before your blood collection. Check with your doctor about requirements. Fasting is often required for testing glucose levels and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, and HDL).

The staff there is very nice and helpful. BUT, for the amount of people waiting for lab work you need to add another person to help. I ended up driving to Modesto to get my lab work done.
