On Facebook look up ESA Lab Scam PAGE or @esatoxicologylabovercharge I simply took urine test from 2 different docs and my insurance was billed over $50K for these. I have researched all of this and will begin posting on my FB Page. I hope that we can all get together soon. I tried calling Emily Akin in Houston, but she didn't seem interested. I know that here in TX this is a HUGE problem! I hate to see the bill for February!!!!This is outrageous and something does need to be done! I am going to contact Channel 2 news Consumer Expert, Wendy Davis, since there are so many complaints stating the same issue about this lab!! I recommend you all do the same if you want to put a stop to this quickly and effectively! Ms. Davis will follow through by investigating, and contacting the lab to interview which will broadcasted. It appears they are out of network for all insurance providers. My insursnce will pay up to 60% For the "Customary Charge" for this type of lab work but I'm sure it's less than $1000. My doctor gives the option to do the ua test in his office for $25 and that is what I will do going forward! As you all have said, this company is a fraud and is creating a mess for the citizens of Houston! Let's rally together to put a stop to ESA Labs. |
