How to prepare for your laboratory appointment:
Fasting. If you have been asked to fast (abstain from eating), then don't eat or drink anything other than water 8 hours before your blood collection. Check with your doctor about requirements. Fasting is often required for testing glucose levels and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, and HDL).

Why don't you tell callers who have to listen to the WHOLE phone message whether you are closed orr have modified hours? Today is Presidents Day, and you have the same message you have every other day. Makes your "patients" feel like you are a feelingless mass production facility.
