 | 1 Flask Rating for DR. RICHARD T. TAY MD Comment: This "doctor" runs a dangerous practice. His nurse is rude without abandon. She rolls her eyes openly at patients, angrily underlines words and becomes exasperated when patients do not understand something, lied twice that I know of, and when asked for clarification about the procedure tells patients that "She already explained that!" When the patient addressed her errant behavior to her, and said that I would be taking these concerns to the doctor, the nurse rather than discussing the situation like proper professionals, instead immediately told the physician that "the patient was being rude to her." It is important to note here that upon leaving the facility several staff members expressed sympathy for the patient and that they "knew what I was talking about" when the patient spoke of the nurse's crassness. The caveat is that Richard Tay did not ask for the patients side of the story, and immediately called the patient to cancel and cited that "he would not accept patients being rude to his staff." It is dangerous to keep staff that not only endangers the patient by refusing to explain procedural information or medication confliction twice, but is willing to lie about a patient to cover her rear end. Let's say that this nurse makes a mistake in her care of a patient, or when refusing to explain procedural information and the patient is taking medication that conflicts with the procedure, and the patient is injured seriously or mortally. I have little doubt that she would blame the patient, lie about the situation, and that the doctor would steadfastly accept her lies as truth again. These are serious problems with the potential to have dire consequences, yet Tay lacks the sense to realize that perhaps he should address this serious blight when it was brought up to him. In a video of this nurse and Tay the nurse cites that Tay is a "good friend" of hers. Please save yourself the stress and time with this physician that lacks good judgement. There are plenty of highly qualified doctors around this area, that are not in bed with their staff. |
