A Contractor is simply a person, business or corporation that offers goods or services to another, under specified terms. Generally meaning that services will be provided for a certain amount of money over a specific amount of time. A hospital might hire a contractor to deliver clean bedding to them regularly for a year.
Home Modifications:
This involves changing a home so a person with disabilities can perform normal daily activities safely and with comfort, while remaining somewhat independent. Some modifications are simple, like placing a lift on the toilet or slip pads in the tub. Other times an investment is required in order to make the necessary modifications.
Vehicle Modifications:
Vehicle Modifications include numerous modification to a vehicle in order to accommodate the driver. This could include lowering the steering wheel or shortening the pedals for an extremely short person. If someone is disabled and doesn't have the use of their legs, the pedal control could be modified to the steering wheel. There are numerous medical circumstances where vehicle modification is required.
