 | 1 Flask Rating for WAL-MART PHARMACY #10-1318 Comment: I am from out of state (VA) helping a sick friend who is also crippled from polio. I have many, many serious health issues my self, but I can drive, my friend can't. I had the unfortunate opportunity to speak with the Pharmacist at 10-1318 in Knoxville TN on Clinton HWY, to get information about filling an out of state prescription for narcotic pain medicine. Just because I have to take this type of medicine I'm already looked at as a drug addict. Thats just the way it is with these meds because of rampant abuse. At this pharmacy I was labeled before I could even talk to the pharmist by the staff gathering and staring after I told them my situation. The pharmacist was already aggrivated from having to run from end to end to councel customers. By the time she got to me I tried to make light of the situation and she snapped at me saying, "I have to run back and forth" to which I replied I understand, and then "what do you need?" not How may I help you. I said I had a prescription from out of state I was having problems getting filled, knowing I would have a problem with her already with an attitude. Again with her voice raising she said we dont fill level2 meds out of state because of the problems with addicts and false prescriptions, etc." and walk away from me. I told her I had another question that I had all the info on the prescription and the Dr name, number and my pharmacy had written on the back of the script if there was any trouble to call. She said go back to your pharmacy they will help you." I told her at the very first that they would not despense the medicine because they did have the full amount. and she basically said as she was walking away, "they wouldn't call and they don't have time time to call because of the false requests." To whichI said well what can I do, I need to get this filled. She said "I can't help you you need to go back to your pharmacy" I said I already told you the situation would I have to go to the ER? She said yeah or what ever, I then said that was ridiculous" and she said from behind her counter "do whatever you want we can't help you and turned back to her counter with her head down. Basically saying I'm not saying any more. My feelings were so hurt I was almost in tears. I know narcotic medicine is a problem, but they do not have to treat every customer with this type of medicine like they are drug addicts trying to get drugs. Not everyone do bad things and to right out refuse to help by calling our doctor. She is not the only pharmacy that would not help me in TN but none of them were as rude and unprofessional as the Pharmacist was to me. I went in there with a smile and came out with my feelings hurt and feeling like I wasn't worth their time. DON'T EVER GO TO THIS PHARMACY. IF THEY HAVE A BAD DAY YOU'LL HAVE ONE WHEN YOU LEAVE. |
