She provided my/her CIGNA insurance information to the hospital to cover all fees. The hospital was paid in full by CIGNA. The Blue Wave Group doctor never received the insurance info from the ER admitting department. The Blue Wave Doctor turned my daughter over to Bay Area Credit Collection Services. Unbelievable foolish mismanagement they have going on here. They can get paid in full by CIGNA but they chose to go to a collection agency. GCMC accepts my insurance, but the doctor that looked at my wife did not. We were never told that the doctor was operating under Blue Wave Emergency and we charged over 1500 in medical bills. I hate that doctors can get away with this sort of practice. Why should I have to ask if the doctor accepts my insurance If the hospital accepts my insurance? I at least would like to have had a choice. My wife could have waited for someone else who did take her insurance to see her. |  | 1 Flask Rating for BLUE WAVE EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS LLC Comment: Charged us over $800 for one of their doctors to look at an x-ray and tell us it wasn't broken. If I'm generous, it took at most 10 minutes of her time. I feel sick to my stomach paying a $4800 hourly rate. I know practicing medicine is expensive, but this feels like price gouging.
