Comment: It is very sad when you have your grandchild visit the local hospital from out of state and your daughter who is a single mother with out of state medicaid gets billed for a 5-10 minute visit for $780.00 plus she waited over 3 hours to have him be seen. She gave them her medical card and was sent to collection due to non-payment and was informed that the doctor they saw refused to take her insurance. For our local hospital this is very wrong and horrible for them to do this and when I got involved and asked if they could adjust this invoice or take what the insurance would pay was told by the collection agency said sorry - we tried to submit but doctor refused to take the insurance and she owes what she owes. Horrible experience |
