I was in another state the date they claim I recieved services. It does seem like a ghost billing company. Even the phone number listed above is for Stonecrest Hospital not Newberry Physicians. Every review I have read I see the same cost, $1700. I have not seen or ever heard of Dr. Sloas who is listed on the bill, nor have I or my insurance company been able to find a working # for this doctor. To add the the shadiness of Newberry I received a phone call from India explaining that I would receive a check in the email and that I was to endorse the check and send it along with explanation of benefits to this secure PO box on a SATURDAY. If I had any questions I could call Mon-Fri during normal East coast working hours. WHAT? You call me on a Saturday, from a foreign country with information you should not have about me and want me to endorse a check for over $1,000 and send it to some post office box. I feel like this is kind of deceiving the Public. I have provided the hospital with my insurance information before and This kind as surprise and exteremly vague. I feel like They owe me explanation about it and provide me with detail about their servive. I had an emergency room visit due to a broken shoulder. 5 -X-rays taken and a bill for 1700.00 from this outfit. Insurance says customary fee's to read the X-rays is about 480.00. Dr. Bell and his billing machine will not even discuss the exorbitant fee's for a Dr. I never have seen or met. Charges at home in OK are $35.00 per X-Rays to have them taken and read. Dr. who practice this brand of medicine should be investigated and banned from practice. |
