She may be certified in EMDR, but her training in trauma therapy is questionable at best. She performs EMDR without consent, without explanation, against clients wishes, and in a deceitful way. She convinces clients to sign a legal agreement without reading it and then does not provide a copy afterwards. She then falsifies her notes and documentation to state differently. She has problems maintaining boundaries and keeping the focus of the conversation on the client rather than herself. She makes impossible promises- She will heal the trauma so the client can find love again. She is demanding and makes the client feel like they don't have a choice. With trauma, that is a very bad thing. Feeling safe and having choices are very important. Clients should not have to advocate for themselves in the therapy room. The therapist should create a safe environment even if they have to ask how the client is doing. |
