The Nurse practitioner that was on duty that night, would NOT fully look at me, because HE was scared of the clotting. The THREE (3) different "CLEAN" sheet which were not ISO correct, or OHSA correct all had blood stains on them. Yet because the not quaified NP would NOT examian me led me to having emergency surgery less than 36 hours later!!!!!!! |  | 1 Flask Rating for DOLPHIN EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS LLC Comment: My daughter had just returned from a year volunteering in Africa. She had struggled with some chronic GI problems while there, and lost alot of weight. When home she payed close attention to getting a nutritious diet in, including extra protein drinks. One day she had rapid onset of excruciating back pain, headache,and dizziness. She has no history of back pain and had no recent activity that might have precipitated this. My husband took her to the TimberRidge ER. She was seen by a PA (not a physician), had no labs, XRays, IVs, meds, or any other intervention. As she lay there and the symptoms started to subside, they scratched their heads and said they didn't know what was going on. goodbye. That was bad enough, but then she received a bill for $350.00 for the ER, and an unimaginable charge of $1100.00 for the ER physican (the one she never saw). I wasn't until a week later when she had that same reaction after another protein drink we realized that it was most likely an allergic reaction. She is not yet working, has no money (after her volunteer work). She tried to work with them to decrease the charge or offer her some assistance. None. Because she has good credit (she has always worked and paid her bills on time) they insist she pay the full amount. For virtually NO SERVICES! Is this even legal? Insurance companies they contract with, or Medicaid, or Medicare would not have to pay that much, but because she has good credit she is being penalized. GREAT system we have in place! She should have just gone on public assistance so she wouldn't have to pay $1500.00 out of pocket to these crooks. |
