 | 1 Flask Rating for MR. STEVEN R HOEKSTRA MA LCPC Comment: Although Steve started out kind and compassionate, as time went on he became extremely unprofessional in his interactions with me. When I told my psychiatrist about what he did, he said that there is something very wrong with this man. The psychiatrist also said that from his interactions with Steve on the phone, he found him to be a "cold" person. I would have never thought of him as cold until I experienced that side of him later on in the therapy process. His boundaries are not clear (I.e as a college female he gave me lengthy, very close hugs saying I didn't receive comfort from my family so he gave me "comfort", only to turn on me later). He has a very caring "act", but he seems unstable and unable to handle people's problems. He told me I suffered from trauma, then gave me the worst trauma I ever experienced. He played with my emotions, and hurt me deeply, knowing exactly what it would do to me. Very scary counselor. I have been affected terribly by his decisions and actions. |  | 1 Flask Rating for MR.
